Ayrshire Central Maternity Hospital
This is a picture of the hospital where Carrie was born almost 20 years ago (thats her in the plastic fish tank) and where I was also born nearly 46 years ago. It was closed last year, The last baby born there weighed in at a healthy 7lb 9oz at 4.24pm on 23 August 2006 and mum and baby were then transferred to the new unit maternity unit which was opened at Crosshouse hospital.
I’m glad I bought the souvenir T-Shirt 20 years ago.
