My Expectant Daughter
My eldest daughter Carrie announced to me around seven months ago that she was expecting a baby although my wife Gillian and I had our suspicions some time before. So it wasn’t a surprise when we were told but All of a sudden I had the same feeling that I had when my wife told me she was pregnant, I wanted to tell everybody, I wanted to phone everyone. Peter this is too good to keep to yourself.
I had to remind myself that it was not for me to start making announcements to everyone, it was my daughter that should be sharing the news with the people she wanted to tell. I would get my chance to tell all my friends, family, casual acquaintances, strangers that I thought might just like to share in my good news.
This picture of Carrie was taken about four months ago, it only seems like months ago that Carrie was a baby herself. Time really does fly by.
