Baby’s Day Out
Today I had my first outing with Carrie and Gracie. The car was loaded up with pram bags car seat mother and child and with papa at the wheel off we went. “Where to?” I hear you ask. We went to the bustling metropolis of Kilmarnock, famous for bunnets, pies, football, Johnnie Walkers and Malcolm Wallace (William’s dad).
Shopping with a woman has never been too enjoyable for me but I endured it bravely. It was great being there and seeing so many people wanting to look at the baby, I really did feel like the proud papa every time I heard someone say “Oh she’s beautiful”. Gracie, of course, was oblivious to all this attention as she was asleep most of the time. All too soon it was time to head home but it was so good being out for the first time with my daughter and granddaughter together.
