“It’s Better Felt Than Telt”

Today Gracie got her first look at my “Papahood” t-shirt. I don’t know what she thought of it but I know what my daughter Carrie thought of it, she said, “you’ve lost the plot!”. I would have thought the same way a few years back. No one will ever be able to understand until they experience “Papahood” for themselves.

Its a bit little like becoming a Christian – when I became a Christian some seventeen years ago, all-of-a-sudden I saw things differently, my life had changed but trying to explain it to others who had never had the experience of becoming a Christian was difficult, they just couldn’t understand, and they won’t until they have become Christians themselves. As my old pastor used to say, “It’s better felt than telt son.”

Oh, forgot to tell you, Gracie is three weeks old today.

  1. Stumbled upon your blog while browsing the interent. My first baby is a few days overdue. Your blog makes me smile, and you remind me of my Dad. You are right on the money about not understanding the effect of Christ until you take Him as your own…well said. My folks won’t get to see my baby till “he” is a few weeks old. Keep me in your prayers! Congrats on your new papahood.

  2. Thanks for your comments Elly. I will pray for you, everything that I prayed for my own daughter. Let me know how things go. The Lord be to you everything you need him to be at this time.

    God bless you real good.
