Ma Wee Pumpkin.
Well it’s that time of year again and whether you love it or you hate it you can’t ignore it. Even Gracie has got caught up in it, her mum has turned her into a pumpkin – ma wee pumpkin. Speaking of pumpkins, I had my first go at pumpkin carving the other day (see picture) to illustrate what God does with us if we ask him.
1. Cutting the top off is like God opening our mind.
2. Cleaning out the inside is what God does for us, He cleans us up on the inside.
3. The heart shaped eyes see God’s love
4. The cross shaped nose shows what Jesus did for us yet we turn our noses up at it.
5. The fish is a Christian symbol, Christians should speak of the good things God has done.
6. The candle, God places His light within each believer.
Jesus said,”let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
