Food Glorious Food!

I’ve mentioned before about Gracie’s appetite, well it’s a bit early but she has started on solid food, well when I say solid I mean very thin baby rice. She has been ready for something extra for a while but Carrie waited and waited, then she decided to try her with something today and Gracie loved it.

It’s recommended that weaning shouldn’t start before 17 weeks, but all babies are different.

Look out for the signs

  • After a full milk feed your baby cries or demands more.
  • Your baby finds it harder to wait until the next feed, and becomes irritable or chews their hands.
  • Where they’ve previously slept through, they now wake up for a feed. Daytime sleep becomes more erratic too – not settling down or waking up early from naps.
  • Your baby looks fascinated when you eat, and perhaps tries to reach for food you’re holding.
