Remember The Papas

As its Remembrance Day today I just thought I would mention my own papa I think we called him granddad. I can just vaguely remember him and I’ve seen photographs of him holding me. I think I was about five or six when he died. He was in the Black Watch and fought during the WW2. When the evacuation of Dunkirk took place he and his regiment were a few miles up the coast at a place called St Valerie. They were captured by the German forces and he spent the remainder of the war in various prison camps. Thankfully he survived his ordeal and returned home after the war. Many papas didn’t.

My papa never got to see his grandchildren growing up but God willing I intend to stick around for as long as possible and watch Gracie and perhaps more grandchildren growing up and if I see them I’ll make sure you see them. So keep looking in.

Gracie was looking serious this morning.
