Prams – Pretty Or Practical?

What looks good doesn’t always function best. Take prams for instance, Carrie chose a lovely pram, a ‘Silver Cross‘ and its a good pram but (a) its heavy and Carrie has to haul it up two flights of stairs and (b) it won’t fit in a lot of car boots. Not long after Gracie was born Carrie and her mum decided to go shopping. I got a phone call from Carrie who along with her mum were having difficulty folding the pram, after a few minutes instruction down the phone they eventually managed it. Half an hour later I got another phone call – this time they couldn’t get the pram back up.
Well this morning Carrie an her friend were going shopping and her friend had borrowed her boyfriend’s car because it had a bigger boot but yes, you’ve guessed it, the pram wouldn’t fit in the boot so Carrie was looking for instructions on how to dismantle the pram, eventually they managed. I wonder what Gracie made of it all?
Years ago there used to be a couple of programmes on TV, The Krypton Factor and The Crystal Maze. These programmes involved contestants being timed doing difficult tasks. They should have given them a Silver Cross pram and a car boot.

  1. Well this is a very good point with prams they are very hard to find the right one that does the job i got a blog that might help those people http://cheappramsforsale.com, there are a variety of prams there with different specs have a look and wonder.

Good Post very relevant when getting a pram

  2. I think it’s not too hard to find a pram that is pretty & practical. Especially with the new designs for 2009 coming out. I find that a lot of the strollers with bassinet add-ons are great for looks & practicality.
I also find some of the smaller names like Englacha have a good balance. But it is true – with the real high-end stuff, its pretty or practical.
Thanks for the blog, great read.
