Baby Toolbox

I’ve got the “Baby toolbox” filled with all the essentials, nappies, wipes, creams, powder, baby bottles, milk, baby food, changing mat, extra baby clothes and a good supply of toys. Tomorrows the big day. Carrie starts back at work and my work really begins as I take on the job of full time babysitter. Not that I’m new to this or have forgotten what to do. So why am I suddenly so nervous about the whole thing? Why should looking after my granddaughter be any different than looking after my son or daughters when they were babies? I guess with my own kids it was just a natural thing, they were there and you just got on with the job. It was, for the most part, fun. Wait a minute! that’s what it will be like tomorrow, Gracie will be there and I’ll just get on with the job. And then there’s teeth and crawling and standing and walking to look forward to. “Yeah!, what are you worrying about it’s going to be great”. I feel much better now, this blogging is quite therapeutic. I will of course keep you all posted on my new “Papahood” challenge.
